TEP, MPP, and APP—phosphate ester and N-P halogen-free FRs for engineering plastics, polyolefins, and intumescent coatings.
Phosphate ester and nitrogen-phosphorus halogen-free FR systems. All grades TSCA-listed with SDS and TDS on request.
| Product | CAS | Form | Best Substrates | Mechanism | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| TEP | 78-40-0 | Liquid | Rigid PU, epoxy, coatings | Gas-phase + reactive | Drum / IBC |
| MPP | 218768-84-4 | Powder | PA6, PA66, PBT, polyolefins | N-P condensed phase | Bag / Super Sack |
| APP | 68333-79-9 | Powder | Intumescent coatings, PP | Intumescent / char formation | Bag / Super Sack |
Low-viscosity halogen-free FR and reactive diluent for rigid polyurethane, epoxy laminates, and coatings. As a reactive FR in PU systems, TEP integrates into the polymer network during cure. Also reduces viscosity in isocyanate blends during processing. CAS 78-40-0.
High-phosphorus N-P synergistic FR for engineering thermoplastics. Thermal stability above 572°F (300°C) allows processing in PA and PBT without degradation. V-0 ratings achievable at 15–25% loading in suitable matrices. CAS 218768-84-4.
Primary active ingredient in intumescent coating systems. On heating, APP releases phosphoric acid (char formation) and ammonia (blowing effect). Phase II grades provide improved moisture resistance. For intumescent paints, sealants, and PP compounding. CAS 68333-79-9.
